Kathi and Wade and Nash rejoined the Cascade Medical Foundation board in 2024. Both had served six years (two 3-year terms) before taking the required year off in 2023.

The Nashes moved to Leavenworth more than 15 years ago. She retired from a 30-year teaching career and he retired after 40 years of owning a small business.

"We camped in the area for 25 years or more and really enjoyed what the area had to offer," Wade said. His hobbies still including golf, fishing, motorcycling riding and gardening, while Kathi enjoys gardening, reading and interacting with friends.

"We both felt the board was a very worthwhile outlet for our desire to support the local community," Wade said. "We enjoy the camaraderie and the thrill of achievement when our projects are successful."
