CURRENT PROJECT: A cardiac monitor for the Mobile Integrated Health program vehicle

Cascade Medical Foundation is embarking on its second fundraising project of 2025 — to purchase a cardiac monitor for the new Mobile Integrated Health program this fall.
Our goal is to raise $70,590 for the device that is used to monitor vital signs and cardiac output on all types of patients, providing, at a minimum, heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure and pulse oximeter. New features will include telehealth options, ultrasound and video laryngoscope, all in one unit.
Cascade Medical currently has 10 cardiac monitor/defibrillators — 6 are used by paramedics and emergency medical technicians in ambulances and aid cars, including those stationed at Lake Wenatchee, and four are in the emergency and acute care departments at the hospital.
All of the current devices are more than 6 years old and coming to the end of their 7-8-year lifespan. Cascade Medical is anticipating having the budget in place to begin replacing those devices in 2026.
The cardiac monitor that will be purchased by the Foundation is in addition to those, and will used for the Mobile Integrated Health program, but also could be used elsewhere as needed.
“Adding another unit to EMS/MIH will help with constantly moving monitors from one unit to another, reducing the risk of not having a monitor when needed,” said Pat Songer, Cascade Medical’s COO.
The new device will have more functionality than the current models and offer a preview of the upgrades to come.
“Technology is constantly changing,” Songer said.
Thank you if you are able to contribute to this project!
