Rex McMillian
Rex McMillian, a native of Norfolk, Virginia, and son of a WWII and career Navy officer, grew up in northern California. After graduating from the University of Southern California, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, going on to become a fighter pilot and spending 38 years on active and reserve duty, completing tours on the East Coast, West Coast, Asia, aircraft carriers and several tours in Iraq. He has commanded at every level from squadron to force. Lt. General McMillian retired from the Marine Corps in 2018 after commanding Marine Corps Forces Reserve and Marine Corps Forces North.
Rex also worked for 32 years as a Delta Air Lines pilot. He retired from Delta flying the B767 from Seatac as an international captain and line check airman. He and Becky, his bride of 40 years, moved to Plain in 2018. Becky is a VP overseeing clinical trials and Edwards LifeSciences, the premier medical device company in the development, manufacture and sales of transcatheter heart valves. They are the proud parents of three children and one grandchild.
Rex spends his retired time shooting skeet, golfing, working out, fishing, traveling, ranching and flying their two-seat Husky tail-dragger airplane. He is also chairman of the Wine Country Marines Board, a 501(c)(3) support organization for veterans.
