Cascade Medical’s Emergency Medical Services Department is offering a free community CPR class from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Leavenworth Fire Station Community Room, 228 Chumstick Highway, Leavenworth.
The class is open to anyone age 8 and up who wants to learn how to save a life. Instruction covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, which use chest compressions to keep blood flowing after someone’s heart stops beating.
Starting CPR quickly can double or triple the chances of survival for someone suffering from cardiac arrest. The class also includes an introduction to automated external defibrillators (AEDs), devices that can help restart a heart that has stopped.
