$125,000 Endoscopy Suite Campaign complete

Cascade Medical Foundation has completed its $125,000 Endoscopy Suite Campaign two months ahead of schedule.

Board members Dr. Tony Butruille’s endoscopy team celebrated the successful completion of the Foundation’s $125,000 Endoscopy Suite Campaign on Oct. 21 with the ceremonial passing of a giant check.

The new equipment, expected to be in use by late November, includes an ultra-high-definition video system, a new endoscope, two colonoscopes and a large-wheel patient stretcher. Together, the additions will enhance diagnostic accuracy, improve patient safety and support high-quality care in the Upper Valley.

The fundraising effort began last November with a grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Washington’s Upper Valley Legacy Fund. Generous contributions from community members followed throughout the holiday giving season and into early 2026. Local businesses then stepped up in record fashion, supporting the Foundation’s annual golf tournament in June and concert fundraiser in August through sponsorships. Additional support came from Benevolent Night hosts and individual donors who continued to give throughout the spring and summer.

“Thank you to everyone who supported this project through events, donations and sponsorships,” said Cascade Medical Foundation Board Chairman Rich Adamson. “Because of your generosity, patients in our community have access to advanced technology and high-quality care without leaving the valley.”

The campaign’s success is especially meaningful given the challenges facing the region following significant storm damage last December. While the community has a long history of supporting Foundation projects, uncertainty lingered about how fundraising efforts might be affected in the wake of the disaster. Donors nevertheless responded with remarkable generosity.

The new equipment arrives as demand for endoscopy services continues to grow. Endoscopies and colonoscopies play a critical role in detecting and preventing gastrointestinal diseases, including colorectal cancer. These services have been offered at Cascade Medical for more than 20 years.

In early 2026, Cascade Medical added a second procedure day each week in response to increased demand, doubling capacity and reducing appointment wait times. The upgraded equipment will further strengthen the program as it serves a growing number of patients.

“The completion of this project reflects what is possible when a community comes together around a shared goal,” Adamson said. “Every donor, sponsor and event participant helped make this investment in local health care a reality.”

Even as the giant check was presented, Foundation volunteers were launching their next goal: bringing a new 3D mammography system to Cascade Medical in 2027 through the "Give Her 5 Seconds" campaign.
