Foundation adds board members, sets 2024 officers

CMF Board gathers for annual meeting

Cascade Medical Foundation has four new board members and a new slate of officers for 2024.

The new members bring a mix of business know-how and public education experience to the volunteer board that is now 20 members strong.

Randy Pollock

Randy Pollock, a retired grocery industry executive, joins the board from Plain where he and his wife, Elizabeth, have been full-time residents since 2018 and are active in the Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue Auxiliary. He became interested in serving a three-year term on the Cascade Medical Foundation Board after hearing about its work.

Wade Nash
Kathi Nash

The other three new members — Kathi and Wade Nash of Leavenworth and Bob Adamson of Plain — previously served six-year terms on the Foundation board and are returning after a bylaw-required one-year hiatus. Kathi is a retired school teacher and Wade is a retired small business owner. Adamson is a retired school principal.

Bob Adamson

Adamson also will serve as a “member at large” on the Foundation’s executive committee in 2024. He replaces Vangie Schasse, also of Plain, who is stepping down from the board after six years of service.

The 2024 executive committee will be led by Chairperson Shannon Keller and Vice Chairperson Shari Campbell, completing two-year officer posts. Treasurer Strode Weaver, Secretary Dana Wilson and Ann MacPherson, the other at large member, have been re-elected to those one-year positions.

Other board members are: Rich Adamson, Vito Fedor, Julie French, Bob Jennings, Terri Judy, Carol Kasper, Bob Keller, Rex McMillian, Kathy Montgomery, Ted Montgomery and Aileen Yost.

The Foundation’s mission is to help support Cascade Medical’s ability to deliver quality health care to the community. It organizes several large fundraising events including the Marson and Marson Cascade Golf Classic (coming June 17 at Kahler Mountain Club), the Jive Time in the Cascades big band concert (set this year for Sept. 21 at the Leavenworth Festhalle) and a series of popular Benevolent Night events, partnering with local restaurants.

Funds raised this year were used to establish a cardiac rehabilitation center at Cascade Medical, which is set to open in January. Past campaigns have funded a mobile health clinic, 3D mammography, ambulance safety equipment, community AEDs and more. The current campaign is to replace an aging blood analyzer in the lab. Also this year the Foundation is introducing an education fund to provide training opportunities for Cascade Medical employees. It was formed in memory of CMF Board Member Mark Judy, a former Cascade Medical CEO, who died unexpectedly in March 2023.

Since its founding in 1992, the Foundation has helped purchase more than $1.9 million worth of medical equipment for Cascade Medical. For information, go to
