Cascade Medical Foundation golf tournament delivers a winning round

Cascade Medical Foundation (CMF) is celebrating another successful Marson and Marson Cascade Golf Classic, held June 22 at Kahler Mountain Club.

Thanks to the generosity of business sponsors and golfing participants, early estimates show the 2026 tournament is on track to raise more than $50,000 to support local healthcare.

“We are incredibly grateful to our golfers, sponsors, and community supporters who made this event such a success,” said CMF Golf Committee Chair and Board Chair Rich Adamson. “Their enthusiasm and generosity year after year truly make a difference, and we couldn’t do it without them.”

Proceeds from the tournament will support CMF’s current campaign to fund new equipment for Cascade Medical’s Endoscopy Suite, helping enhance care for patients in the community.

The 23rd annual tournament honored long-standing traditions while introducing new, playful twists. Golfers were once again welcomed with the beloved send-off from the Leavenworth Alphorns, while fresh activities added excitement throughout the day.

“It was time to mix it up a little bit,” Adamson said.

Participants in the putting contest took on a unique challenge by swapping traditional putters for crutches, an unexpected twist that delivered memorable and entertaining results. Another new activity, the Tractor Bucket Ball Drop, brought plenty of anticipation as golf balls were released from a tractor bucket onto the practice green. The ball that landed in the hole determined the winner.

Favorable weather, as in sunny skies and less wind than in previous years, helped create ideal playing conditions. The excitement was further fueled by the chance to win a new boat from Bob Feil Boats and Motors. While no hole-in-one winner emerged, several golfers came remarkably close, sparking lively conversation during the evening’s festivities.

The event concluded with an awards ceremony and dinner, featuring a pasta bar catered by Wildflour.

One of the day’s most heartwarming highlights came from 11-year-old entrepreneurs Harper and Giana Cano, who donated $162 to the Foundation. The girls raised the funds by selling used golf balls during the tournament.

“They go out and collect the balls whenever they’re here,” said their grandfather, Bruce Phillips, who lives near the golf course.

The girls said they were inspired to give back.

“We think this is an important cause,” they said, adding that they hope to participate again next year.

CMF also recognizes the efforts of more than 40 community volunteers and board members whose months of planning made the event possible.

Since its founding in 1992, Cascade Medical Foundation has raised more than $2.1 million to support and enhance healthcare services at Cascade Medical.

Special thanks

A perfect send-off

A shout out to Leavenworth Alphorns’ Brad Summer and his grandchildren Ben and Quinn Lindsay for sounding the tournament’s start. The tradition continues! Thank you!

A tribute to our volunteers
