We raised more than $18,000 during our fifth annual Jive Time in the Cascades concert Aug. 29 at Silvara Cellars.
Ticket sales surged after wildfire smoke cleared, bringing a strong crowd to enjoy music by Bandits of the Animal Kingdom, Mediterranean-inspired food from Mission Burgers & Chicken, and wine from Silvara.
Concert proceeds support the Foundation's $125,000 campaign to purchase new equipment for Cascade Medical's Endoscopy Suite, including an endoscope, colonoscopes, an ultra-high-definition video system and a big-wheel stretcher. The equipment helps detect, diagnose and prevent gastrointestinal diseases.
The Foundation initially set a $101,000 fundraising goal and expanded the project after reaching that benchmark earlier this year. Board members expect the remaining funding gap to be closed before year-end through upcoming Benevolent Night events.
Any funds raised beyond the campaign goal will support the Foundation's 2027 initiative to purchase a new mammography machine for Cascade Medical.
Since 1992, Cascade Medical Foundation has contributed more than $2.3 million toward medical equipment and healthcare improvements for Cascade Medical.
Major sponsors included Kahler Mountain Club and Silvara Cellars, with additional support from Mission Wealth, Leavenworth/Pine Village KOA, Mike West Leavenworth Realty, Syndicate Smith Architecture & Interiors, Go USA, Ogden Murphy Wallace Attorneys, Wenatchee Valley Medical Group, and more than 45 businesses that donated items for the event's Buy It Now fundraiser.
"The incredible support from our local business community continues to make these projects possible," said Foundation Board Member Shannon Keller, co-chair of the Jive Time event. "Their generosity directly helps expand access to high-quality healthcare close to home."
