In addition, eight high-value raffle prizes were distributed to lucky winners. As in years past, the Leavenworth Alphorns helped signal the start of play for the golfers in the morning. When the golfing round ended, local musician Jacob Simms performed for players awaiting dinner and the awards ceremony, a new feature added this year.

The results show Cascade Medical Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year held true to form, netting about $49,000 for our current campaign.

“The golf tournament was an absolute blast and fundraising results from the tournament exceeded expectations, thanks to the generosity of both our incredible sponsors and enthusiastic — and competitive! — participants,” said Rich Adamson, the co-chair of the Foundation’s golf committee.

Special recognition goes to our major sponsors including Marson and Marson Lumber (TAL Holdings), our title sponsor for the eighth year, and Kahler Mountain Club, our tournament host for the past four years. Other returning major sponsors include Louws Truss, Dan’s Food Market, Icicle Ridge Winery and Squirrel Tree Resort. The event also includes another 40 or more sponsors who contribute to the tournament’s success.

More than 50 volunteers also commit time and effort to pull the event together, helping with everything from parking to providing on-course event instruction.
