Royal Ladies put their names in stone

Two Royal Ladies of the Autumn Leaf Festival have added their names to the Royal Lady Walkway, part of Cascade Medical Foundation's ongoing Legacy Paver project.

2024 Royal Lady Linda Bradshaw and Sharon Waters, who served in 2022, ordered their pavers this spring. M&E Memorial owners Miguel Cuevas and Elia Cuevas arrived about 6:30 a.m. Aug. 6 to put their names in stone. Miguel Cuevas, who has owned the company since 1995, said he has etched all the tiles on the walkways, which stretch along the hospital's entryway. In addition to the Royal Lady block on the sidewalk near the entrance, tiles also recognize community service, milestones and memories.

The project initially served as a fundraiser for the Cascade Medical Foundation in its mission to support Cascade Medical. That role continues, while also helping acknowledge those who support the community in many ways.
