Mobile Integrated Health vehicle

Cascade Medical Foundation raised $67,000 in the second half of 2024 to purchase a vehicle for Cascade Medical's new Mobile Integrated Health program.

The 2024 Ford Explorer XLT was purchased in November.

The MIH program, expected to be fully launched by January 2025, is designed to deliver healthcare to the home, using a specially outfitted vehicle staffed by EMTs and paramedics. Modeled after similar programs in other rural areas, the Mobile Integrated Health program will reach elderly patients, individuals with chronic conditions and those with limited mobility, offering education and clinical support to manage chronic conditions and increase access to vital health services. The goal is to reduce hospital readmissions, improve health outcomes and enhance the overall quality of life for residents within the hospital district by bridging the gap between emergency medical services, ambulance services, the mobile clinic and the primary care provider.

The all-wheel-drive vehicle will be equipped with lights and sirens so, if needed, staff can respond to other medical emergencies in addition to helping Cascade Medical patients connect to needed services.

Providing a vehicle for this new program has a direct impact on Cascade Medical's ability to offer quality healthcare care to the community, supporting the Foundation's core mission.

In addition to generous donations from the community, Cascade Medical Foundation also received a $10,000 grant from the Confluence Health and Wenatchee Valley Medical Group Community Partnership Fund at the Community Foundation of NCW.
